HEAL’s mission is to connect the health, ethics and law communities of Queensland by providing a forum for discussion among professionals and students in these fields.
HEAL aims to increase knowledge and awareness of bioethical and health law issues, promote interdisciplinary understanding and provide opportunities for collaboration. Through all this, we hope to contribute positively to the healthcare of the community.
HEAL is a Queensland chapter activity of the Australasian Association of Bioethics and Health Law (AABHL). HEAL has four major partners: The Australian Centre for Health Law Research at the Queensland University of Technology; The Queensland Integrity Commissioner; The University of Queensland Critical Thinking Project; and Bond University Medical School. Each partner hosts an annual HEAL event that focuses on ethics and law issues in their particular context.
